Softball Game Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Dorman Cavaliers

Gaffney is 1-9 against Dorman since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Indians will challenge the Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Gaffney had just enough and edged out Riverside 7-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Meanwhile, Dorman entered their tilt with Wade Hampton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Generals. Considering the Cavaliers have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dorman's victory bumped their record up to 13-7-1. As for Gaffney, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.

Gaffney couldn't quite get it done against Dorman in their previous matchup back in March as they fell 3-0. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
