Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sheldon). They blew past the South Salem Saxons 44-23 on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Irish in their matchups with the Saxons: they've now won three in a row.

Sheldon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Barry Myles and Jack Haverland.

Despite the loss, South Salem still got an impressive performance from Kellen Bowman, who threw for 409 yards and one touchdown while completing 74% of his passes.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-4. As for South Salem, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.
