Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Mountain Ridge's Tenth in Last 13 Outings

Mountain Ridge had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt Hampshire on Wednesday. Everything went the Mountain Ridge Miners' way against the Hampshire Trojans as the Mountain Ridge Miners made off with a 65-41 win. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Mountain Ridge to victory were John Delaney and Cameron Breighner. Delaney went 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points along with five boards and four steals, while Breighner went 6-for-12 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Breighner now owns an excellent 45.2% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Eli Sibley, who posted nine points and five boards.

Mountain Ridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.
