Recap: Western Warriors vs. Canyon Springs Pioneers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Western Warriors can now relate to. They took a 52-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers on Saturday. Western has not had much luck with Canyon Springs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Perhaps the best among them was Qaaima Taylor, who scored nine points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Laila Lwaba, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Even though they lost, Western were working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Western has not been sharp recently as the team has lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-13 record this season. As for Canyon Springs, they pushed their record up to 19-8 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon Springs, they will play host again and welcome Somerset Academy Losee, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Somerset Academy Losee will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Canyon Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
