Basketball Game Preview: East Coweta Indians vs. Chapel Hill Panthers

The East Coweta Indians will head out to face off against the Chapel Hill Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Coweta will head into Tuesday's contest on the come-up: they were handed a 20-point loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Douglas County, sneaking past 50-47. Given the Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Tigers are ranked 297th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Qwes Williams, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Harper Rife was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Chapel Hill strolled past Carrollton with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-45.

East Coweta has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for Chapel Hill, their record now sits at an identical 15-7.

East Coweta came up short against Chapel Hill in their previous meeting on January 14th, falling 71-64. Can East Coweta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
