Joliet West came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Plainfield Central Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Joliet West was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10.

Lina Govoni paced Joliet West's offense, picking up six kills. Govoni got some help from Julia Adams and her 17 assists. Adams also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lexie Grevengoed, each putting up four.
