Soccer Recap: Auburn Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Auburn was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of the Oak Mountain Eagles by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Auburn's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Oak Mountain, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Auburn will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Prattville at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Oak Mountain, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Leeds at 7:00 p.m.
