Basketball Game Preview: Manila Mustangs vs. Rich Rebels

Manila is 0-10 against Rich since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Manila Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Rich Rebels at 5:30 p.m. Manila is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

Manila will head into Saturday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 34) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tabiona 52-49.

Manila's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kallie Bair, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 15 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruthanna Wilson, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rich waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 42-35 victory over the Punchers.

Manila has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Rich, their record now sits at 17-2.

Manila couldn't quite finish off Rich in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 46-44. Can Manila avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
