Richland County had won two straight games and Gavyn Cothern did his part to make it three on Friday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lawrenceville Indians 57-14 for which the team can thank Cothern, who rushed for 228 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and defending one pass.

Richland County's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lawrenceville, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Richland County is set to take on their familiar foe Marshall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 904 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Lawrenceville will face off against rival Paris at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
