Soccer Recap: Riverside Victorious

Riverside had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt Irvington Preparatory Academy on Thursday. The Argonauts never let Irvington Preparatory Academy get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Considering Riverside have won three contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Riverside back to even at 4-4. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will face off against Indiana Math & Science Academy North at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Indiana Math & Science Academy North will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Riverside surely won't give up without a fight. As for Irvington Preparatory Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tindley at 5:30 p.m. on the 30th.
