Softball Recap: Sunnyside Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Sunnyside extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 10-10 in the process. They blew past the Eisenhower Cadets 15-5. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won ten matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Kayla Murray was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Lili Briones was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Sunnyside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eisenhower only posted an OBP of .303.

As for Eisenhower, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered against Sunnyside since April 25, 2023.

On Eisenhower's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Pepper Gilman, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sunnyside beat the Cadets by a score of 9-2 on Friday.
