Basketball Recap: Franklin Drops Season-High Score on Cochranton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin). They walked away with a 58-46 victory over the Cochranton Cardinals on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Several Cardinals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Walker Carroll, who posted 14 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Rynd, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.

Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Cochranton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will take on Meadville in a holiday battle at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Cochranton, they will take on Sharpsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
