Mesa Vista entered their tilt with Mora on Saturday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They rang in the new year with a 42-33 victory over the Mora Rangers/Rangerettes. The 42-point effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Mesa Vista's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Mora, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
