Jasper and Vidor are an even 4-4 against one another since February of 2021, but likely not for long. The Jasper Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Vidor Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Jasper's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Jasper is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Lumberton on Friday. Jasper took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lumberton.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vidor). They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Hardin-Jefferson on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Pirates considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Vidor, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-14.

Jasper suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Vidor when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Jasper avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
