Middle Creek had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They never let the Panther Creek Catamounts get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Ryan Morris's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

On the hitting side, Middle Creek got a big performance out of Caden Miner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Miner has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Will Tobin, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Middle Creek's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Panther Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.

Middle Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Catamounts: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
