Football Recap: Jones Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Wayne Christian Eagles 48-0.

DJ Deal had an outrageously good game for Wayne Christian as he rushed for 40 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Jones' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Wayne Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Jones will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pamlico County at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Wayne Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Wake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
