Football Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short on the Road Against Crismon + How To Watch

River Valley had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Crismon Rattlers on Friday, falling 34-13.

Mickey Smith threw for 128 yards and one TD. Hunter Rice was his top target, picking up 69 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crismon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asher Vance, who picked up 179 receiving yards and three scores. Vance's longest reception was for an incredible 87 yards. Braxton Thill was another key passer, throwing for 292 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt.

Coming up, River Valley will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Benjamin Franklin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Crismon, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Eastmark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
