Joliet Central can bid farewell to their 18-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against the Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves as they made off with a 20-14 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Steelmen considering their two-run performance the match before.

Emma Guethle was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordynn Poke, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and three RBI.

Joliet Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .538. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Joliet Central's win bumped their record up to 3-28. As for Thornton Fractional South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 19 of their last 21 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-28 record this season.

Joliet Central has already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Lincoln-Way Central on the 27th. Thornton Fractional South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
