Softball Recap: Dighton-Rehoboth Regional Extends Home Winning Streak to 25

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional faced Nipmuc Regional in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Falcons never let the Warriors get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on five straight.

Edy LaTour was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 20 consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May.

LaTour wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Moss, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Skye Harrison was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional pushed their record up to 25-2 with the win, which was their 25th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Nipmuc Regional, with the loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-2.

As of now, neither Dighton-Rehoboth Regional nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
