After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwood, Bluffton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wabash Apaches, sneaking past 4-2. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 6-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Averi Petty was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024.

Bluffton's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Wabash, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bluffton will venture away from home to challenge South Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Starfires will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wabash, they will head out on the road to take on Northfield at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Apaches' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Norsemen have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
