Pinnacle Classical Academy had won seven straight games and Lily Wellmon did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Christian Family Academy Fire with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Wellmon, who had nine kills and four aces. She has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 19 times she's played.

Pinnacle Classical Academy was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-17, 25-17.

Pinnacle Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Christian Family Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Pinnacle Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Challenger on the 24th. As for Christian Family Academy, they will be playing at home against Long Shoals Wesleyan Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
