Football Recap: Hayfield Hawks vs. West Potomac Wolverines
Hayfield lost against West Potomac back in March of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hawks lost 33-7 to the Wolverines. The Hawks were down 24-0 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
West Potomac's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Knapp, who threw for 182 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes. What's more, Knapp racked up 160.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024.

As for West Potomac, they will face off against Alexandria City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them.
