Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Crestview couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Lake Catholic Cougars on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Rebels' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Crestview was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-16, 25-22.

Crestview's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kerrigan Miller, who had 11 digs and two aces. Miller has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Crestview's loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Lake Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season.
