Volleyball Recap: Southwest EC Takes a Loss

Southwest EC was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Brawley Wildcats, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on October 2nd.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-13.

Kaydence Wiewel paced Southwest EC's offense, picking up six kills. Wiewel also shared the team's lead in assists with Kailani Hinshaw: they picked up eight each. Finally, Karen Perez kept Southwest EC's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Southwest EC's loss dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Brawley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-12.

Southwest EC does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brawley, they will take on Holtville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
