While McDaniel's victory against Roosevelt wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mountain Lions narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Roughriders 9-8. The Mountain Lions haven't had any issues with the Roughriders recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kaylie Schmitz was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Amira Edwards was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

McDaniel's record is now 14-10. As for Roosevelt, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-21.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McDaniel will face off against rival Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Roosevelt is set to square off against their familiar foe Cleveland at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
