It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Highland had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They never let the Strongsville Mustangs onto the board and left with a 14-0 win. Highland's victory was all the more impressive since Strongsville was averaging only 3.62 runs allowed on the season.
Hunter Winston made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Winston was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.
In other batting news, Highland got a massive performance out of Noah Radigan, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Landon Sooy was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
