Pinecrest Academy Cadence entered their tilt with Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They managed a 27-22 win over the Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon Pirate. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pinecrest Academy Cadence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Patricia Monacelli, who picked up 129 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Monacelli didn't just play on offense: she also made one tackle and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Pinecrest Academy Cadence also got a significant boost from Amelia Woolard, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 143 yards.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Alia Bindrup led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by herself. Monacelli continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Maya Nisson, who picked up 95 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Manahere Peters was another key player, picking up 153 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence pushed their record up to 21-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points per game. As for Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-7.
