The Red Springs Red Devils will square off against the Lakewood Leopards at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Springs is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Red Springs is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Hoke County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bucks.

Red Springs saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacoby Lowey, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. TJ Ellerbe also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Lakewood made easy work of Lejeune on Friday and carried off an 8-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Leopards in their matchups with the Devil Pups: they've now won five in a row.

Rylan Godbold and Caleb Neal were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Godbold struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Meanwhile, Neal tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Godbold a new career-high. At the plate, Godbold went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI, while Neal scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reed Ammons, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Ivey, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Red Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Lakewood, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
