The Bishop Badgers will challenge the San Benito Greyhounds at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Bishop is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Bishop's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Calhoun with a sharp 10-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Badgers.

Cambrie Rios was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. What's more, she gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Bishop got a big performance out of Alida Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, Garcia posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kalie Garza, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Bishop always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calhoun only posted an OBP of .167.

Meanwhile, San Benito was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calallen.

San Benito's loss dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Bishop, their win bumped their record up to 11-5.

Bishop beat San Benito 5-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Does Bishop have another victory up their sleeve, or will San Benito turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
