Walkertown got themselves on the board against McMichael on Friday, but McMichael never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Phoenix 60-0. That looming 60-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wolfpack yet this season.

Walkertown's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jerrell Crawford, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns on only 18 passes. Amare Mitchell was in the mix too, providing the Wolfpack with two scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Walkertown proved: they limited McMichael to a paltry 1.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Camereon Cartlidge for the heroic effort on defense: he. Walkertown didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.6.

Walkertown's defense also made the game a nightmare for Kai Tart, racking up 13 sacks. It was truly a group effort as Cartlidge, Ar'Mahd Barber, and Myles McMahan picked up two apiece. Barber also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six.

Walkertown pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.3 points over those games. As for McMichael, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
