Basketball Game Preview: Pinecrest Academy Paladins vs. Cherokee Christian Warriors

The Pinecrest Academy Paladins will challenge the Cherokee Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pinecrest Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Cherokee Christian will be coming in after a loss.

On Saturday, Pinecrest Academy slipped by Excel Christian Academy 1-0. The one-point effort marked the Paladins' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-29, which was the final score in Cherokee Christian's tilt against Valor Christian back in December of 2024. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while the Lions are ranked 69th).

Pinecrest Academy will need focus on slowing down Haydan Bossart, one of several Cherokee Christian players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 14 points. Bossart is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Medar, who had eight points.

Cherokee Christian now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pinecrest Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
