Baseball Game Preview: Del Valle Cardinals vs. Austin Maroons

The Del Valle Cardinals will square off against the Austin Maroons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Del Valle's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 win over Austin.

The result came thanks to ANDRU ROGRIGUEZ's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Del Valle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JAYSON ACOSTA, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. DONOVAN DOUGLAS also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Austin dropped their record down to 3-10 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Del Valle, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6-1.
