Volleyball Recap: Rondout Valley Takes a Loss

Rondout Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Mount Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-8, 25-10.

Rondout Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mount Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rondout Valley will challenge Red Hook at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Academy, they will head out to face off against Our Lady of Lourdes at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
