Basketball Preview: Bluffton Tigers vs. Heritage Patriots
Bluffton is 2-8 against the Patriots since February of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Bluffton Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Heritage Patriots at 7:30 p.m. Bluffton is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
Last Thursday, Bluffton was able to grind out a solid win over the Panthers, taking the game 44-36.
Heritage can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They took down Eastside 59-45.
Kobe Meyer had a dynamite game for Heritage, going 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Meyer has scored all season. Noah Redmon was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
The win got Bluffton back to even at 8-8. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Bluffton couldn't quite finish off the Patriots when the teams last played back in January and fell 37-35. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Heritage's D?vontaye Washington, who scored 16 points along with four blocks and three steals. Now that Bluffton knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
