Softball Recap: Trona Tornadoes vs. Lone Pine Golden Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Immanuel Christian, Trona was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Lone Pine Golden Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Lily Mehan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk).
