Basketball Recap: Dillon Mullins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Washburn over Orange Beach

Washburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 49-42 to the Orange Beach Makos.

Washburn's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dillon Mullins, who posted 18 points. That was a full 42.9% of Washburn's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Matthew Harville was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 boards.

Washburn's record is now 3-7. As for Orange Beach, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washburn will welcome Claiborne at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Orange Beach, they will be playing at home against Mobile Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
