Basketball Recap: Gresham Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Gresham entered their match against Southridge on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Gresham Gophers fell to the Southridge Skyhawks 69-64. Gresham's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-6. As for Southridge, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gresham will take on Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Gresham's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Southridge, they will square off against Beaverton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Southridge's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Beaverton has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
