It was a good run, but Washburn unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 5-2 to the North Greene Huskies. The Pirates were red-hot at the plate heading into the match (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Huskies' pitchers proved too tough.

Washburn's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9-1. As for North Greene, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

As of now, neither Washburn nor the Huskies have any future games scheduled.
