Basketball Recap: Santa Fe South Takes a Loss

Santa Fe South was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Wright City Lumberjax, falling 57-7. While losing is never fun, the Saints can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Lumberjax are ranked 221st).

Peyton Miller went supernova for Wright City, going 9 for 15 en route to 20 points and six steals. Miller has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Braileigh Threadgill, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Santa Fe South's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Wright City, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.

Santa Fe South wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 66-6 loss against Oklahoma City Knights HomeSchool on the 14th. As for Wright City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-44 win against Dibble on the 11th.
