Baseball Recap: Laurel Comes Up Short

Laurel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Stone Tomcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tomcats this season, with their most recent loss being a 11-0 defeat last Tuesday.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Stone, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-13.

Laurel has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 defeat against East Central on the 8th. As for Stone, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-4 win against Vancleave on the 8th.
