Basketball Game Preview: Meadow Bridge Wildcats vs. Sherman Tide

The Meadow Bridge Wildcats will square off against the Sherman Tide at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Wednesday, Meadow Bridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-34 to Montcalm. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Meadow Bridge got top-tier performance from Kierston Rozell, who went 6 of 15 en route to 22 points and five steals. That was a full 64.7% of Meadow Bridge's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Hayes, who scored three points along with six boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, after only 19 points in their last match, Sherman made sure to put some points up on the board against Greater Beckley Christian on Thursday. Sherman enjoyed a cozy 58-44 win over Greater Beckley Christian.

Meadow Bridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Sherman, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Meadow Bridge came up short against Sherman in their previous matchup two weeks ago, falling 45-36. Can Meadow Bridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
