Football Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Cypress Christian

Cypress Christian won against McKinney Christian Academy last Friday with 35 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Cypress Christian beat St. Frederick by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 35-21. The win was all the more spectacular given Cypress Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 652nd in Texas, while St. Frederick is ranked 166th in Louisiana).

Brayden Dawson had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 235 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also rushing for 30 yards and two scores. 81 of Dawson's passing yards were hauled in by Dean Mestayer.

The victory keeps Cypress Christian at an undefeated 8-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 48.0 points this season. As for St. Frederick, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-4.
