Soccer Game Preview: Valley vs. Elmore County

Valley is 0-7 against Elmore County since March of 2019 but things could change on Monday. The Rams will head out to take on the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. Valley has given up an average of 3.7 goals per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Valley is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to Lee-Scott Academy. While losing is never fun, Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while Lee-Scott Academy are ranked 44th).

Elmore County on the other hand, have had a phenomenal season so far and haven't lost a game yet. They never let Tallassee get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for Elmore County, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

Elmore County's victory bumped their record up to 16-0-1. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Valley might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Elmore County when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
