            Baseball Recap: The Master's Academy Lions vs. Christian Family Academy Fire        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for The Master's Academy, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Christian Family Academy Fire on Friday as The Master's Academy made off with  a  13-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Sawyer Waugh was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been consistent  recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Bear LaSelle was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Conrad Schmidt, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 The Master's Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .517. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Family Academy only posted  an  OBP of  .000.

The Master's Academy pushed their record up to 4-1 with the  win, which was their eighth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Christian Family Academy,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
 We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. The Master's Academy will  square off against  rival Pinnacle Classical Academy  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (The Master's Academy 3.6, Pinnacle Classical Academy 3) so any  runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Christian Family Academy is set to  challenge  their familiar foe Lake Lure Classical Academy  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday.
