The Bay School is a perfect 10-0 against Gateway since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Breakers will venture away from home to take on the Gators at 3:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (The Bay School has ten straight victories, Gateway has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If The Bay School beats Gateway with 17 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Breakers blew past San Francisco Waldorf 17-5 on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Breakers, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Nate Won made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-6 with three runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Jasper Cook was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Ari Samson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
The Bay School kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive games.
Gateway couldn't beat Drew on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Gators lost 22-8 to the Dragons. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Gators' highest-scoring contest to date.
Casey Volker and Luca Velasquez did some serious damage despite the final result: Volker got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs, while Velasquez got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Josh Peterson, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
The Bay School's record now sits at 13-3. As for Gateway, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. The Bay School has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .501. However, it's not like Gateway struggles in that department as they've averaged .433. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
The Bay School got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Gateway by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Breakers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
