Baseball Recap: Argonaut Comes Up Short

Argonaut came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Union Mine Diamondbacks, falling 13-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 7-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Tyler Swensen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Argonaut has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Union Mine, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

While Argonaut had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
