Softball Recap: Beatty Comes Up Short

Beatty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the GV Christian Guardians, falling 19-1. That's two games in a row now that the Hornets have lost by exactly 18 runs.

Beatty saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Melody Vargas, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Genesis Molina also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Beatty's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for GV Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beatty will host Pahranagat Valley at 1:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for GV Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Laughlin at 3:00 p.m. on the 15th.
