Softball Recap: Westview Takes a Loss

Westview had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-3 to make it five. They lost 12-0 to the Central Noble Cougars. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Central Noble, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

For Central Noble's part, the team relied heavily on Kierra Bolen, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI. Avery Deter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westview will host Lakewood Park Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Noble, they will be playing at home against Whitko at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
