Basketball Game Preview: Pantego Christian Panthers vs. McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs

The Pantego Christian Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the McKinney Christian Academy Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pantego Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 75-65 victory over Lake Country Christian.

Pantego Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Jackson, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 18 points and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Brooks, who went 7-for-10 en route to 17 points.

Meanwhile, McKinney Christian Academy came tearing into Monday's contest with 17 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They breezed past the Crusaders to the tune of 90-59. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 24 matches by 20 points or more this season.

McKinney Christian Academy pushed their record up to 36-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.2 points. As for Pantego Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-13 record this season.

Pantego Christian might still be hurting after the 67-42 loss they got from McKinney Christian Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can Pantego Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
