Soccer Recap: Newcastle Takes a Loss

Newcastle and Cody combined for 34 shots on goal on Saturday, which explains the impressive 15 total goals scored. The Dogies came up short against the Broncs, falling 14-1. Newcastle were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 8-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Caden Esposito, which was the first he's scored this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Newcastle and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Newcastle and Cody will both be playing Douglas the next time they take the pitch. The Broncs will host the Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Dogies will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
